Description
The poem reads:
"Deep in the earth I'm carved,
By the water which I'm starved
My colors take your breath
But floods shall cause your death."
As an extra credit project, i created mix media illustrations depicting different geological features that result from water.
An arroyo usually is just a vanishing desert stream, but sometimes they carve into the sandstone, making these beautiful, sculptural crevaces. They're extremely dangerous though, since a flash flood can strike miles away and come rushing out of nowhere into the arroyo. Many people have died in these places.
