Meandering River

The poem reads:

"Watch me wander
Watch me sway
As I meander
I'll carry earth away."


As an extra credit project, i created mix media illustrations depicting different geological features that result from water.

This one depicts a Meandering River. They're located in higher elevations, usually on foothills. The river winds this way because then it's easier for water to pick up and drop off sediment. Over time, the moving of earth causes the stream to change course, sometimes even curving into itself to create an oxbow lake.
